YOUR WORK DAY
As an apprentice mechatronics technician (m/f/d), you will use your extensive expertise in many of our production areas. Here we show you an example of what your working day in mechanical processing maintenance will look like:06:00 a.m.
At the start of work, there is a short team meeting to discuss the tasks to be carried out.
06:15 a.m.
The tool trolley is then taken to the machine. Now the machine maintenance can begin.
I dismantle the sheet metal covers in the interior of the machine to check the components underneath for dirt and wear. All defective components are replaced. When everything is in order again, the covers are fitted.

09:30 a.m.
Now it's the first break. I can have a tasty breakfast in our canteen.
10:00 a.m.
Freshly fortified, we continue. The machines have many switches and buttons that may have come loose. I check these, reattach them or replace them. Defective bulbs are replaced at the same time.
11:00 a.m.
There are many electronic components in the switch cabinet that are cooled by small fans. I have to check these and replace them if necessary. Together with a skilled worker, I measure whether the voltage at the relays and contactors is being switched through correctly. I replace some that switch frequently or are defective straight away.
01:00 p.m.
Time for the lunch break.
01:30 p.m.
Now it's only 1 hour until closing time. The machine is now being put back into operation. All functions are checked and tested. The last thing is the safety check. The emergency stop must always work!
02:30 p.m.
Now I'm off work. Tomorrow it's the turn of the next machine in the processing cell.
